Diverticulitis is inflammation of usually the large intestine. It occurs most in the last part of the large intestine. A diverticule is a sac that pushes out due to the large intestine being under pressure. Food items can enter the sac, as can feces being processed. Bacterial and other infections are common. Pain, fever, vomiting are some of the symptoms. Many suggest an increase in dietary fiber will help due the beneficial properties of fiber pushing food through and keeping digestion moving. Stress increases gas which is part of the problem. Reducing stress will also help
